THE GOSPEL
JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE: We prioritize the gospel above all (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
The gospel shapes every aspect of our mission. And the gospel alone provides the basis for our unity. In all that we do, we seek to remove distractions from the gospel, making the gospel as clear and as compelling as possible.
2. THE BIBLE
THE WORD OF GOD IS OUR AUTHORITY: We are Bible based (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The word of God is true from beginning to end and we believe that true progress in the faith stems from the Word of God taking root.
3. MISSION
LOVE GOD, SERVE OTHERS: We do whatever it takes to reach all people.
In following Jesus’ footsteps, we aim to love those around us and seek to love and evangelize those in our city and around the world. In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus said there would be more rejoicing over one sinner who repented than of the 99 who were already in the fold. Because he prioritized those outside the fold in his ministry, we prioritize them in ours, constantly asking what we can do to bring the gospel to more people.
4. DISCIPLESHIP
WE ARE DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES, not just converts: (Matthew 28:19-20 / Acts 1:8)
The final command Jesus gave his disciples was to make disciples, teaching them to observe all that he had commanded. So, we are committed to developing and discipling all those that God has entrusted to us.
5. COMMUNITY
WE DO LIFE TOGETHER: Discipleship best happens in the context of community (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We were made for fellowship with each other and with God. Authentic community happens when we love one another, care for one another, hold each other accountable, and serve together.
6. SERVANT LEADERSHIP
If you're too big to serve, then you are too small to lead. We believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Every role is different, but they are all important. If you ain't helping, you ain't helping!
7. PRAYER
PRAYER IS OUR FIRST RESPONSE NOT OUR LAST RESORT (Matthew 21:13)
In Matthew 21:13 Jesus said: “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer […]”. We believe God calls us to be a people of prayer. We don’t just say, “we will pray for you”, we stop and pray. It’s part of our DNA.
